« My Blade & Soul Closed Beta Begins Feedback | A Blade And Soul Player Suggestion: Voices and costumizations »

I want Blade and Soul to succeed as I'm sure most people here do

cheap bns gold I can't claim to represent the majority of the community but I know that many fans echo my sentiments: in a very general sense - the practice of adapting Blade and Soul in a way that removes objectionable content feels extremely unjust. I hope that those responsible do not take this personally but I find it frankly insulting that the broader community must accept the judgement of a minority to censor what is deemed unacceptable. Many of us want the American version of the game (and the official English version for that matter) to be as faithful to to its source as possible and while I understand that the buy bladeandsoul gold game is being made more palatable for a wider audience, I urge against the alienation of your more passionate playerbase. I suspect that, if asked, the majority opinion would be to change as little as possible from Korean to English despite the history of translated-to-english fiction in a broader media context and the precedents of censorship therein. I appreciate the efforts of the localisation team and LastWriterStanding in particular for openly addressing many of our concerns - adapting an entire game for an English audience cannot be easy and I think for the most part, an excellent job has been done - but many of the decisions are, respectfully, uncalled for. I'm not completely aware of what happens during the localisation process and neither do I want to dictate to others my disagreements, but the impression we have been given is that we will not be receiving the poignant, often provocative narrative that we've been expecting.

I'm aware that the promise that Blade and Soul would not be censored some time ago has been addressed - that this promise applied specifically to its art. Nonetheless, even if the word of this promise has not literally been broken, we feel that its spirit has been unabashedly discarded. From the perspective of fans who have waited earnestly for years, this feels like a betrayal. The lore of Blade and Soul is a huge draw for many of us and we respectfully ask for some of the decisions to be reconsidered. I won't go into specifics since it would be too difficult to cover here, but from quests to poses, I hope that you will at least take into account what players are expressing.

I may be an outlier for this but I read through a majority of the text and dialogue in MMO's. To my pride and shame, I've spent well over a year of my life online in another MMO and even though I've only recently been brought up to speed on the state of Blade and Soul, I've been more than eager to join in. To be blunt, I'm one of many people who are willing to spend money on this game and encourage my friends to join but I feel that this is regrettably changing. I'm profoundly invested in the presentation of the stories in every video game I play and it saddens me that my excitement for Blade and Soul is waning. As I mentioned before, I'm approaching this in good faith: more than anything, I want Blade and Soul to succeed as I'm sure most people here do. The players who are offering harsh criticisms - if you forgive the cliche - do so out of love.
